Welcome.

I like developing brands. I'm not a father, but I think creating a brand is like having a child. You have to feed it, clothe it, and above all, help it develop a strong personality and thus create an independent and sustainable being. The same thing happens with brands.

I was born in 1993 in Uruguay. I have a degree in Visual Communication Design, a field that refers to design in almost all its forms: graphic, web, UXUI, 3D, editorial, typographic, and audiovisual design, as well as its theoretical, historical, and philosophical aspects. In November 2023, I passed my Final Degree Project (referring to local governments and urban trees) and in October 2024, I obtained the aforementioned degree thanks to my thesis "Más Verde"

I also studied Advertising Analyst with excellent results and worked at three communications-related companies. At the same time, I've been working independently since 2010.

My goal is to run a design studio that works with worldwide.

I currently serve on the Board of Directors of the Uruguayan Design Chamber, bringing a regional perspective to design from outside the capital.

UCD

The Uruguayan Chamber of Design (UCD, or CDU in Spanish) is a non-profit civil association founded in 2009 as a forum for coordination, planning, and execution of strategic public-private initiatives to position design as a generator of economic, social, cultural, and environmental value, as well as a driver of innovation, particularly for the productive sector.

Comprised of companies, independent designers, entrepreneurs, and training institutes in the design sector, it has more than 120 members from different areas of design, divided into the following categories:

Visual communication design

Textile design

Product design

Furniture design

Interior design

Exterior design

Service design

UX/UI Interaction Design

Currently, the CDU is a key player in implementing, supporting, and participating in the promotion of design, disseminating good practices and success stories, and consolidating design as a relevant tool for the sustainable development of communities.

SRSS

The Single Registry of State Suppliers (SRSS or RUPE in Spanish) allows for the registration and maintenance of up-to-date information on all individuals and legal entities interested in contracting with the Uruguayan State.

Goals

Provide public agencies with all relevant information when hiring a company, facilitating immediate access from a single location.

Benefits

- Improves the efficiency of the State's contracting processes.

- Provides public agencies with immediate access to all information that may be relevant when contracting a company.

- It reduces the paperwork suppliers must complete when contracting with the State, avoiding the need to submit certificates each time they bid in a public procurement procedure.

- Each supplier will have access to the information contained in the RUPE, either directly or electronically, in real time and will be able to update it when necessary.

The State has historical information on suppliers' performance in fulfilling their contracts. This benefits both the State and its employees.

CLAP

The CLAP Awards are the International Design Awards, allowing studios, agencies, offices, and independent professionals to compete against their peers throughout Latin America. They are supported by leading design organizations, which select the jury members. The CLAP Award is a unique and unrepeatable opportunity to achieve international recognition in the world of design.

Joaquín Javiel Arroyal is a sworn representative of the Uruguayan Chamber of Design.
