Together with a teaching team, research activists and historians of the National Party we built a complete documentary about the Battle of Fray Marcos. A historical event that took place on January 31, 1904 with Aparicio Saravia (a leader of the 19th century belonging to the National Party) at the helm.

 

The video tells the situation that unleashed the battle between "blancos" and "colorados" until explaining the event in detail.

 

We extracted images from the National Library, from different historical magazines and VHS files that we digitized. We animate the images and share the video on YouTube so that it can be consulted as a public domain historical archive.
